We choose the Hancock Tower.

1. We like tall buildings.
2. We were too lazy to take the 20 minute bus ride to the   Museum of Science and Industry.
3. We were short on time and didn’t have an half day to devote to the Museum of Science and Industry

Time: 1 hour

We did the Hancock Tower at night and Skydeck during the day.  The Hancock Tower did not have much of an exhibit before you go to the top. However, at the top, they had an interesting panel of Chicago history, going through its frontier origins, through the great fire, through the amazing architectural boom, and more. And they had a cafĂ© to sip on hot chocolate as you enjoy Chicago city lights.

In all fairness to the Musuem of Science and Industry Chicago, we heard it was a pretty amazing museum. We imagine families with school age kids would especially love this place. I mean, mythbusters the explosive exhibition, descending into an enormous coal mine, and making a wind vortex all sound like awesome activities. Yeah, we were sad to be so short on time!
